UNPRI Hosts Workshop on AI-Based Learning Materials
Equipping 150 Lecturers with Google NotebookLM for the New Academic Year
Medan, June 6, 2026 — Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) successfully held a Workshop on Learning Materials and Assessment Guidelines at the UNPRI Main Campus Mini Hall, Saturday (June 6, 2026). This strategic event was attended by 150 permanent lecturers from various study programs as part of the preparations for the upcoming academic year.
The workshop was led by Vice Rector I Dr. Abdi Dharma, S.Kom., M.Kom., FITPM, FITAR, AITSP, MCF, MTCNA, MTCRE, Head of the Academic Study Center (PSA) Dr. Herbert Wau, S.K.M., M.P.H., and Dean of the Faculty of Language and Communication Dr. Dian Syahfitri, S.S., M.Hum., alongside the Heads of Study Programs. In his remarks, the Head of PSA UNPRI emphasized the importance of technological adaptation for lecturers while maintaining humanistic values. "Technology must be maximized, but good learning materials must remain humane and relevant to students," he stated.
UNPRI Vice Rector I announced the transformation of UNPRI’s online learning system into SINERGI, a platform fully integrated with the university’s academic systems to create an efficient and adaptive digital learning ecosystem. During the hands-on session, lecturers were guided in compiling and uploading materials to the Learning Management System (LMS) using Google NotebookLM, a Google Business AI product that enables intelligent and structured management of teaching materials.
