FBK UNPRI Successfully Hosts 2026 North Sumatra Province Poetry Musicalization Festival
Eight Top High School Finalists from Across North Sumatra Showcase Their Talents at Prima Sky Ballroom
Medan, July 8, 2026 — The Faculty of Language and Communication (FBK) at Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) successfully hosted the prestigious "2026 North Sumatra Province High School Poetry Musicalization Festival." The event, organized by the North Sumatra Language Center (BBPSU), took place at the UNPRI Prima Sky Ballroom from June 26–27, 2026.
The festival commenced with a creative discussion on poetry musicalization led by the jury. On the second day, eight selected finalists from various regions, including Medan, Toba, Kabanjahe, Dolok Sanggul, and Binjai, delivered stunning performances showcasing the diverse literary talents of North Sumatra's youth.
Dean of FBK UNPRI, Dr. Dian Syahfitri, warmly welcomed the participants. "The collaboration between BBPSU and UNPRI has been established for a long time. We are proud to welcome young talents from all corners of North Sumatra. Welcome, and we hope you feel at home at UNPRI," she stated.
The festival was attended by the Head of the North Sumatra Language Center, Dr. Asrif, M.Hum., and a representative from the North Sumatra Education Office, Fauzi Hadiansyah, S.T., M.Ak. This festival is a routine program by the Language Agency of Kemdiktisaintek, serving as a platform for literary appreciation among the younger generation.
The event concluded with the announcement of the winners who will represent North Sumatra at the national level. SMA Negeri 1 Binjai was named Best 1, followed by SMA Swasta Santa Maria Kabanjahe (Best 2), SMA Negeri 2 Binjai (Best 3), and SMA Negeri 1 Uluan (Best 4). UNPRI wishes all winners the best of luck in representing North Sumatra on the national stage.
