HUBUNGAN SIKAP DAN MOTIVASI DENGAN KINERJA KADER POSYANDU LANSIA DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS SIMALINGKAR MEDAN

Cadres’ attitude and their motivation are different in implementing posyandu which have the impact on their services. Therefore, they must have positive attitude and high work motivation in order to achieve the goal of posyandu for the elderly. However, there are still many problems in its implementation. The objective of the research was to find out the correlation of attitude and motivation with cadres’ performance in posyandu for the elderly in the Working area of Simalingkar Puskesmas, Medan, in 2017.The research used quantitative correlation method with cross sectional design. The samples were 30 respondents. The result of chi square statistic test showed that there was the correlation of attitude and motivation with cadres’ performance at posyandu for the elderly at α = 0.05 and the significance level of 95% so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The result of chi square statistic test showed there was the correlation of attitude at α = 0.05 and p-value < 0.05 or p=0.000) and motivation at p<0.05 (p-value = 0.000) with the cadres’ performance at posyandu for the elderly at so that Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. The conclusion was that there was the correlation of attitude and motivation with cadres’ performance at posyandu for the elderly in the Working area of Simalingkar Puskesmas, Medan, in 2017. It is recommended that the Health Agency provide counseling to motivate the cadres to have positive attitude toward the implementation of posyandu.
