Showcasing Global Competitiveness: FBK UNPRI Lecturer Appointed as Master of Ceremony at an International Event in China.
UNPRI Lecturer's Cross-Cultural Communication Skills Shine on the Global Stage
Medan, July 9, 2026 — Universitas Prima Indonesia (UNPRI) continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering globally competitive human resources. Mei Lisa, B.Ed., MTCSOL., Secretary of the Applied Bachelor's Program in Mandarin for Business Communication and Professional at the Faculty of Language and Communication (FBK) UNPRI, was specially invited to serve as the Master of Ceremony (MC) at the international event *"星火聚南侨 群贤共甘甜——六十年代集美侨校校友返校联谊晚会"* held in Xiamen, Fujian Province, China.
The event was a grand reunion for the 1960s alumni of the Jimei Overseas Chinese School. It brought together nearly 500 alumni from various countries, including Indonesia, Singapore, the United States, Australia, Hong Kong, Macau, and China. The gathering served to strengthen international networking while preserving the educational values and national spirit inherited from the prominent figure Tan Kah Kee.
The trust placed in Mei Lisa as the MC is a testament to her cross-cultural communication skills, mastery of Mandarin, and the high professionalism expected of UNPRI faculty. This role highlights the ability of UNPRI lecturers to facilitate effective communication in international forums among participants from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Dean of FBK UNPRI, Dr. Dian Syahfitri, S.S., M.Hum., expressed her pride in this achievement. "The involvement of our lecturers in international forums is a concrete manifestation of FBK's commitment to enhancing human resources that can compete globally.
