Institutions of bankcrupt is basically an institution that provides a solution in the form of settlement of the debt payment obligations on the parties if the debtor in a state of stopping to pay or unable to pay in this case the debtor experience the bankruptcy, The study uses a normative research method, The result showed that Deposit Insurance Agency (LPS) is responsible for recovering banking operations not only taking over the banks but also adopting a policy of liquidating banks which ares not healthy, including Civil Code, the Banking Act No. 7 1992 JO Law No. 10 of 1998 (UUP), the Consumer Protection Act No. 8, 1999, and the legal protection of creditors by LPS .
