HUBUNGAN TEKNIK PENCUCIAN METODE AIR MENGALIR DENGAN KANDUNGAN TELUR CACING PADA SELADA DI WARUNG MAKAN SEKITAR JALAN SETIA BUDI MEDAN

At this time in Indonesia infectious disease prevalence caused by a worm is still high. This is evidenced by the results of a study conducted by the researcherof the method of hygiening techniques of flowing water and the existence of worm eggs on lettuce in the field of food stalls on Jalan Setiabudi in 2014. This study aims to determine the relationship between running water washing technique method and worm eggs existence on lettuce meal at some food stalls on Jalan Setiabudi in 2014. Samples were taken from 17 food stalls on Jalan Setiabudi. Samples were taken for examination in the laboratory BTKL (Center for Environmental Health) Medan using the method of deposition. This research was conducted using a descriptive survey, where the researcher conducted direct observation to the field with the aid of the observation sheet. The results showed that of the 17 food stalls, 14 stalls (82.4%) used a good washing technique and 3 stalls (17.6%) used a poor leaching technique, and from 17 food stalls at the food stalls, 2 stalls (11.8%) were contaminated with helminthes eggs on lettuce on his vegetables. In conclusion, there is a relationship between washing technique and the worm eggs existence or lettuce served at food stalls. Researchers suggests that all respondents who provide the food stalls lettuce as vegetables wash vegetables with running water and use a good washing technique, so that the content of the eggs contained in the vegetables can go out and no longer sticky to the vegetables.
