This paper discusses the implication of Philbsophy in Modern Education. It covers how important the aspects of philosophy for Education practice, the relationship between education and philosophy, different schools of philosophy viz; Naturalism, Idealism, Pragmatism, and their implications for erlucation in curriculum, the role of the teacher and the nature of discipline. Moreover, it also discusses ii".': application of general philosophical principles of dffirent schools of philosophy in educational system and the definitions the concept of school according to dffirent schools of philosopfu. Wite explaining the ideas advocated by diffirent schools of philosophy on above concepts, the paper also incorporates the views of both Western as well as Indonesian thinkers.
